Super User burleytog Posted May 6, 2010 Super User Posted May 6, 2010 An Avid Pearl that is... http://www.stcroixrods.com/product/avid-pearl Hey, if it works for Tampax, it's gotta work for fishing. Quote
b.wedlund Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I held them several times this winter, and strongly considered getting one "for my wife" who fishes about 25 minutes a year. Really though, I have fallen in love with split grips and have always liked the Avids so the idea of combining the two is something that excites me. The only reason I have bought is that they don't make a Pearl in 7' MH. I can't wait to hear what you think of it. Quote

1inStripes Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I saw those in my Cabelas flyer this week I got. I'd try it. Quote

If you hold out, maybe you can get the Dancing with the Stars - Tom Bergeron Signature Series BTW, who do you think will take home this season's mirror ball trophy: Nicole or Evan. Dang, I'm whipped Quote

S I G M A Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 My custom Avid with a split grip... not quite pink but I'm ok with that Quote
Super User burleytog Posted May 29, 2010 Author Super User Posted May 29, 2010 I'll say this, the sucker is light. But they severely over-state the power & action on the rods. The 6'8 MXF is more like a ML-moderate fast. Bought it for the wife as a general purpose rod, but I don't think it will be much but a light-duty small worm rod. I don't understand why they don't make a 7' MH-F. Don't they think women will fish a 7' worm rod? Quote
