Vinny Chase Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 I purchased all of my baitcasters within the last 2 years (Curado, Revo SX, and Prodigy) and have never really cleaned or oiled them up. I was wondering what the process is like to get them back to running at their highest potential. Thanks, VC Quote
trevor Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Just google it. Its not too hard if you take your time and do it right. Quote
b.Lee Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 If you go to each manufacturers websites they will have instructions on how to dissemble and lube your reel. Shimano's website has the best with pictures. If you can change your oil on your car, you can surely oil your reels Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Sticking with the "oil change" analogy, you could have them professionally serviced for that same cost or less. If you decide to DIY, let me know if you need a hand. Quote
