I have been trying hard to find a back up baitcasting spool does anyone know where I could buy one?

You haven't given enough info for anyone to answer your question. You might as well ask where can you can buy a backup alternator for your car engine.

The manufacturer usaully sells extra spools, check your schematics for the part, spools do not appear in your schematics as just " spool ", it appears as spool assembly ( spool + bearing/s + brake inductor or brake block ), contact the manufacturer and ask for it. Spool assemblies for bcs are not cheap like spools for spinning reels.

depending on the cost of the reel I would recomend getting another reel.

For example the price of a Citica spool shipped will be close to half of what the entire reel costs. another option is to look for a used reel, spools rarely get damaged and you have extra parts available or an entire new setup if you like.

What do you want an extra spool for?  Are you concerned about getting a bad backlash, where it might be easier to swap out spools rather than waste time untangling the birds nest?  The old Abu 521s came with spare spools and it was a relatively easy deal to swap out spools.  You might try to find one of those.

I fished as a co-angler for a number of years in BFL tournaments and I was very concerned about backlashing a reel and wasting time or taking the rig out of the game.  After a while, I always carried 2 or 3 extra reels in a box in the bottom of my tackle bag.  My personal rule was 2 minutes.  If I worked on a backlash for 2 minutes and I couldn't see progress, I'd stop and change out the reel.  That only took a couple of more minutes.

If that's why you want spare spools, you might want to consider just carrying a couple of extra reels.  If this rant stretched this thread in yet a different directiion, I'm ok with that.

Nowhere he said he wanted extra spools to change in case of a backlash.

I'm loving this borderline bizarre thread.

Remember the old Art Linkletter show "Children say the darndest things " , well it applies here.

I want it so I can switch line from 12 pound to 50 pound braid for my flippin stick

in that case you can tie a 12lb fluro leader onto your braid where or when required, and just snip it off to go back to the braid setup. i've done that before while fishing. if I take my two sons fishing and we are going to fish frogs, or flip, i just cut the leaders off a couple of my setups so they can use them for frogging or flipping, and then when i go back to fishing by myself i just tie on the leaders, with whatever lb test i want for the next trip. probably won't take much longer than putting on a new spool.
