0ldwun01 Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Back in 2001we retired and moved form Florida to East tennessee. When they delivered our furrniture some things were unaccounted for. One being a big box of fishing rods. We never got any satisfaction from the moving company. Last week I got as call from a guy at the moving company telling me they found a big long box that they traced back to us. Did I want it shipped to me. Oh yes. I got that box today. It contained 7 All Star rod all purchased during the 1990's plus some odd ball rods. The rods were GT1, CSH, FRH, WR1 and a SJ2 casting rods. Spinning rods were MS1 and a MS3. I have not bass fished in 8 years due to Cancer and Heart issues. However I am now on the mend and hope tp be fishing within the next 60 days. While I am not sure which reels I am going to pair up with the casting rods I plan on buying a Curado E& and maybe a Revo STX HS. I have a dozen AG 50, 550 reels and a couple of Quantums laying around. This may not be the place for this post and it is my first one. Quote

Beastie Bass Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 WOOT! WOOT! Congrats on the return of your long lost treasures! Even bigger congrats on your recovery! I hope you get to wear the fish out. I just lost my father to brain cancer after a 5 yr battle. The last time he was in the hospital he told the Dr. the only thing he wanted to do was go fishing with his grandson one more time! We went several times and those are the most treasured memories I will probably ever have. Sorry, let me get back on track. I am crazy about my Revo STX. Good luck! If you are like me some "h2o therapy is required." Chicken soup for the soul Quote

Like many, I have seen the impact cancer has on lives. My dad past away 11 years ago and my wife is a survivor of over 10 years now. It puts everything else into perspective.
