Hey guys i have been using a st croix mojo 7' H with my big jigs and big creature baits.  I really not liking the rod too well and was thinking about changing.  Do any of you have or know somebody who has the 7'8" H Kistler Magnesius and if so how do you like it.  I have a friend who will part with his for $75 he bought it last year but doesnt use it as much as he thought he would.  He lives out of town and i dont want him bringing the rod if im unsure. I am hoping it is alot lighter and not so tip heavy.  Will i be $75 satisfied. because i do have a rod.  Just not a great rod.  Sorry so long but thanks for any advice.

Do you mean the telescopic 7'8" All Day Flipping and Pitching Stick?

If so, I'd pay $75 in a heart beat

abso-freaking-lutely.

It looks like basically the same stick. They changed the weight rating and there is one less guide. I'd say go for it. I have the older version and it is awesome. Plenty of power for jigs, and it's got a great action for frogs as well. IMO it makes the perfect frog rod.

any long rod will be tip heavy.the magnesiums are no exception.get a rod balancer and balance the rod when you get it.if you like it balanced then glue it on the rod.
