SWIFF Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 What's your usual size from shallow to 20+ ft. Thanks Quote
Super User David P Posted January 30, 2008 Super User Posted January 30, 2008 I fish a 3/16oz with 6-8lb line. Lota guys like lighter weights, but I've had great success so haven't bothered changing it up. Quote
SWIFF Posted January 30, 2008 Author Posted January 30, 2008 Sounds good, esp w/wind in winter. Thought ya hadda go with eighth oz or whatever and it takes forever getting it down where I'm marking fish on structure. Ever use baitcasting tackle with 'em? How's that working if so? Quote
Super User Dan: Posted January 30, 2008 Super User Posted January 30, 2008 i usually fish shallow rocky rivers so I usually stick between 1/8 and 1/4 but sometimes use up to 3/8 in football heads. Football heads work great on shakey heads around rocks. The depth i usually fish these are anywhere from 2-8 feet, although sometimes up to 10 or 12 (that's when I use the heavier weights) Quote
Super User Raul Posted January 30, 2008 Super User Posted January 30, 2008 Anywhere from 1/16 oz up to 3/8 oz. Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 30, 2008 Super User Posted January 30, 2008 1/16 or 1/8 are my two I go to. But when it is a little windy or in water over 15' I will go to a 1/4. Quote
