I want to get a 50mg for light cranks and such, but I think I just got a deal on 2 Revo STX's, Will the STX cast lightweight stuff as well as the chronarch? Its going on an avc70mm.  what has been your experience?

I have both. The CH50MG is one of the "Classic Reels" of all time.

The STX is just another reel.

I have owned both reels

mg50 super sweet super light you get this reel you will be hooked with super light reels only problem light reels cost more money. Will it work with smaller lighter cranks? Yes it throws the lighter stuff awesome tell you get to about 1\2 oz in my opinion then i feel you over work the reel.

Stx one brute of a reel strong powerful heavy.

Will do everything you need it to do but I feel the mg would be a better reel if you are just going to fish lighter weight lures.Hope this helps.

well then maybe what I'll do is keep one of the two STX's for a froggin rod and put the other one up for a ch50mg trade on here.

are they an even trade?

NO a nice shape 50mg will go about $175-$200 nowadays and the 09 STXs can be had for about $125
