BigMoneyGrip Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Just wanting opinions on a Saros F (not sure what size) and a Mojo 6'8" MXF. I'm looking for a set up to throw lighter, more finesse type stuff. Right now, I have a Citica E on a Mojo and I want to get a spinning reel. My current combo dosen't really like the lighter stuff. Thanks, Scott. Quote
hmongkidBee Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 yes the citica isn't really meant for weightless plastics and light baits. The curado is the one for that matter. As for the saros it's a really good reel, you won't go wrong if you have one. Get the 2500 size since you're fishing for bass, or you could opt for the stradic CI4 which is by the far the lightest spinning reel you'll be holding in your hands. Quote
Stasher1 Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 For about the same price or a little more, I'd opt for the 6'8" MXF Avid and the Shimano Sahara. When it comes to finesse applications, you need a light sensitive rod. The reel isn't as important as the rod when you're talking about spinning gear, imho, since any spinning reel will do well casting light lures. Quote
