krisjack69 Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 I see on the label where you can't use it on fluorocarbon line.I've read when people have used it on fluorocarbons and would like to know what it would do.I also read that it can harm some parts in reels.I would like to know if this is true and if so should I throw the bottle I have away cause reels are expensive. Delaware Valley Tackle Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Reel Magic and WD-40 are harsh on line and the environment. They also will act as a degreaser if they come in contact with bearings and other internal parts. KVD Line & Lure is a much better option IMO. Quote

Super User grimlin Posted April 21, 2010 Super User Posted April 21, 2010 I've used the reel magic stuff in the past and it hasn't harmed one reel i have. However I've long switched to KVD line conditioner since catching it on sale this winter. Quote

I for one never know that and been using it on all my setups. Thanks and I'll be looking to get the KVD conditioner. Quote
