Was looking for an excuse to go back there anyway. I just need to figure out how to get in and out without the baitmonkey knowing about it! Quote
scrutch Posted April 16, 2010 Author Posted April 16, 2010 part of me wants to take it apart to see what went wrong and learn something. Think I can do that and still be able to return it? My gut says no. Quote
RippinLips86 Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 get credit for it and buy a Shimano Curado Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted April 16, 2010 Super User Posted April 16, 2010 Just another reason to never buy a Quantum. That's right ~ because Quantums are the only reels that ever have any mechanical problems. A-Jay Quote

The Rooster Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 If you take that reel apart and scratch it up anywhere around a screw head, or booger up a screw head to where it shows, and they see it, they'll say YOU screwed it up. Go with your gut and return it the way it is. Quote
scrutch Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 I left it alone Its back in the box, which is back in the BPS bag and sitting in the passenger seat of my truck. Man it sure was a pain getting the line off of it. I improvised and overcame. Bye Bye Quantum...Hello Curado or Chronarch (or Revo) Quote
BassThumb Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 This is a good reason why you should examine the reel before buying. Quote
