brushhoggin Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 if it has to be flouro you can't ever reel in slack line. i make a point to grab the line about a foot above the reel to bring that line in with some tension. as far as loadin it onto your reel, leave the bail of line on the ground. some say the line needs to come off in the same direction your bail is spinning it on. make sure after several turns you make sure its not twisting. if it is, flip the spool on the ground over and keep crankin, again, all while grabbing the line above the reel to avoid winding on loose line. sometimes i flip a spool over many times while winding it on Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted April 15, 2010 Super User Posted April 15, 2010 I've had fluro on a couple of my spinnin reels, no problems...You Need to spool your line the same way it comes off the spool you bought, otherwise it will tend to jump off..also, you want to keep tension on the line while spooling it. If your reel is a size 2500 or smaller, 10 lb is Max, 6 or 8 is recomended.. AAs for good fluro, try the Seaguar InvisX, I have the 6 lb on my reel, and love it. Quote
RandySBreth Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 I was going to be a smarta@# and say "Tied as a leader to your superline" but that's not too helpful. Yo-Zuri has a great "spinning friendly" Fluoro, but the one I use the most is P-Line's "Fluoroclear." And follow the spooling tips that come with the line you bought.. Quote
