Finesse Wide Gap but I am about to start useing the Wacky Jig Heads.

Hey Flukey I saw those also, wouldn't they alter the wiggle and the drop rate? If so when would that be more helpful?

Nothing fancy here.  In the hot part of the summer, I use just a regular 1/4 oz. jig head.  That with a motor oil 4" stick worm is my most reliable bait on slow hot days.

#221311 Gamakatsu RED 1/0 Octopus inline circle hooks - period. And I crimp down the barb besides! Pure hooking/holding power; allowing quick and easy catch, photograph and release. I use this hook exclusively when fishing Senkos in more open water situations for smallmouth bass; have been doing so for 3 seasons now. Can't remember the last time I lost a big smallie or caused one damage. Great hooks.

#1 gold hook.

1/0 weedless.

2/0 weedless.

I have found the weedless can allow me to get into more structure without getting hung up.

I have to agree with Just Old Fisherman...the 1 & 2 size (supposedly weedless) hooks are WORTHLESS  >;). Sam, I dont know how you keep from getting hung up. The concept of a weedless hook is to provide some assurance that you can throw into an area and most of the time not get hung up. Well, I've tried these above mentioned hooks and just about every time I throw into cover, I get hung up.

So, for now,I am rigging  the Senko the standard way.

JOF or anyone else, can you advise on how I should proceed to fish the Senko wacky rigged yet weedless?

I tried this late fall before it got too cold- and OMG what a tactic! Fish it like a jig once it is on the bottom, then HOLD ON  :-X I can't wait to use this technique for my 08' tourny trail.
