jj2 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I seen somewhere a guy said he used a snell knot to tie his hook when he was pitching soft plastics. He said it really improved his hook ups anyone else use the snell knot for there soft plastic pitching and flipping Quote
BassThumb Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I was going to give this a try this year when slop pitching. I've heard a lot of good thing about it as well, how the knot causes the hook point to pivot towards the fish, increasing hook-up ratio. I practiced with some #50 braid and it's a lot easier to get the knot to lay right with braid than it is with the light fluoro I sometimes use for tying walleye spinners. Quote
bassnleo Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I snell 100% of the time on my flippin/pitching rods. Quote
