okiefisher8 Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I went into basspro today to try and ecxhanngemy skeet reese revo I purchsed online because the gears are grinding. While there the associate informed me that I got last years revo which just has centrifugal brakes and the new one has different brakes. After looking online abu's website says the skeet reese revo has the infini brake system. My question is, is the infini brake system the new dual brake system like the premiers or is it just their term for the centrifugal brakes? Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted April 2, 2010 Super User Posted April 2, 2010 the "infini" is short for Infinity Spool II Design , not the brake system . to my knowledge , they have the centrifugal brakes , just like the Revo S .... Quote
okiefisher8 Posted April 2, 2010 Author Posted April 2, 2010 Reese also selected the Infini brake system for his reel as well as the Infini II Spool and an extended Throw Handle with extra large grips for ease of retrieve. Quote
ChrisAW Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I don't think Abu updates their site as quickly as they should. They still haven't listed any of the 2010 reels as far as I've seen, so I wouldn't look at their website for the proper information right now. But, I do believe Infini is the dual control, with centrifugal and magnetic controls. Edit: If the 2010 Reese real is anything like the 2010 premier, it does include their newest Infini Brake system. http://www.***.com/Abu_Garcia_REVO_Premier_Casting_Reel/descpage-AGRPR.html Quote

21farms Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 well, something is up. the SKT in the TW photo has a plain sideplate whereas the SKT in the BPS photo has a dial: Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted April 2, 2010 Super User Posted April 2, 2010 the original poster has last years model , they have the centrifugal brakes , that is why i said they don't have the dual brakes (infini brake system) . the 2010 model has the dual brakes like the premier . Quote
adclem Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 Well I just got the 2010 model Skeet Reese Revo and it does indeed have the new breaking system with dual brakes and the improved magnetic brakes as well. The reel is basically a 2010 Premiere with a bigger handle. Got it at BPS for $180 as they are on sale right now. The reel is freaking sweet other then the color but for $180 you cannot beat it.
