KevO Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 Ok so I had a Core/carrot stix combo for jig fishing setup with 50# and a flouro leader. It was pretty good and I didn't really worry about the guides on the rod cause they were cheap anyway. I have since broken the carrot stix and stepped up to a Cumara. My question is.... Will the knot joining the braid and flouro damage the nice fuji guides on the cumara when casting and retrieving? Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted March 21, 2010 Super User Posted March 21, 2010 Nope, unless your knot is Huge, and has superglue on it.. ;D I throw braid on my Shimano Calcutta rod all the time.. Quote
