What trailer?

In what conditions should I choose a chunk trailer over a craw trailer or a craw trailer over a chunk trailer?

Chunks like the Paca Chunk and Zoom Super chunk move a lot of water, while trailers like the Zoom critter craw, Tiki-Crawdude, and Gene Larew style craws look a little more realistic.  I stray a little from the norm, with my favorite trailer being a Zoom Brush Hog with the body trimmed down and the swimming tails trimmed to be 'whiskars'.

I always use Joe claw Trailer on my jigs.  I usually use one in the same color as the skirt.  99 percent of the time it is blue/black

I use a chunk trailer more then anything else.  In ultra clear water I think the craw helps more.

Zoom chunk trailer with curl tails in cold (40's) water; Gene Larew craw worms the rest of the year.

I use NetBait Paca Craws, Paca Craw Jr. or some GYCB craws on a jig when I want a bulky bait.

Otherwise, it's ZOOM Super Chunks/Jr. Chunks or NetBait Paca Chunks.

I also use the Netbaits, but during the winter and night fishing I use YUM trailers with YUM garlic ali spay.

i like to use twin tail fat alberts and paca craws

the paca craw also slows the fall as dose a twin tail but a chunk will not slow the fall of the jig that much

#11 Uncle Josh pork frog for a slower fall. Uncle Josh Black Widow eel for a quicker fall.
