newfish Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I've been taking a look at these two reels. What are the differences between the two, besides the price difference. I've handle both reel and the cheaper price curado seems to have a smoother and more free handle. I'd appricate any info. Thanks. Quote

tbird Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 The Chonarch will be smoother and more refined. Is it worth $100+ ? ,only you can make that decision. T Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted March 14, 2010 Super User Posted March 14, 2010 Agreed..I picked the Chronarch.. The Chonarch will be smoother and more refined. Is it worth $100+ ? ,only you can make that decision. T Quote
tbird Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Good choice Hammer , I have 4 previous generation Chronarch's ...3-100A's and a 100BPV ,but also have 7 Curado's..I like em all but you can tell the difference in smoothness and refinement.I hav'nt had the chance to check out the new D series Chronarchs but would assume they are a notch above the previous generation. fishinflip415 Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I have both and there is really no wrong choice here. If you want smoother and more refinement go with the chronarch. If you want a good all around work horse reel go with the curado. Both can be had at below retail just be patient. 8-) Quote
newfish Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 thanks for the responses. im certain that they're both great reels. it's just at the store the chronarchs handle, when clicked over, didn't spend as long as the curado. i guess, i just wanted to justify the $100 difference...and didn't want to pay more for something that was similar. Super User Raul Posted March 15, 2010 Super User Posted March 15, 2010 Chronarchs are true gems at a relatively affordable price, Curados are best value. Quote
