Vinny Chase Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I wanted to open this question up to everyone. Im about to spool up a few of my combos, but i dont know what color to get. Im asking this because all the reviews i have read of Green is that is not even the same line (in a negative way)... Thanks, VC Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted March 8, 2010 Super User Posted March 8, 2010 That's news to me. Green is what I would buy , as a matter of fact it's cheap enough to buy a spool of both colors. Quote
dave Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Did you hear that on this forum? I use nothing but green. I do believe that a certain someone will be along shortly to clarify. : Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 8, 2010 Super User Posted March 8, 2010 Diameter and breaking strength are the same: #6 .010" diameter, ~ 11.9 lbs breaking strength; #12 .013", 19.5 lbs I think green blends better in the water. "Clear" looks white to me. 8-) Quote
The Yankee Fist Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I use the green 6 and 12 as RW posted. He turned me on to this line last year and I have never been happier(Thanks Kent). Tough, nice line lay, no memory problems(fish mostly in current) and casts very well. Great "feel" too. I just went and got this year's supply last night. 2 small spools of 6lb will get me through the season for the spinning rig and usually one spool of 12 will do for the BC rig. There was a nice older genleman in Cabela's last night looking at the line selection. i could see the look on his face.."wow, what in the heck do I pick?" I felt as though I could help him out. I showed him a big spool of Ande's and said "this is what I used for YEARS." He said "me too!". I showed him the YZ HS and said "this is all you will ever need...please, give it a shot." We got into a little chat about what he fishes for and such and he ended up buying the YZ. I gave him my # to tell me if he liked it or not. Quote

Cabelos does not have nay. check ebay, thats where i buy mine from. its hard for me to find 12#, 600yds in clear so i always use the green color. Hook Set Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 As already stated, I use both clear and green, have seen NO difference. Even better, it's nicely priced! I owe my "finding out about it" to RW, thanks dude! Quote

ib_of_the_damned Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Currently I use clear Yozuri in 8 and 10lb on my bc reels. When I need to get more I'm gonna be picking up the green. The city lakes I fish tend to have a greenish tint to them and stain my clear line, so green will be the way I go from now on. Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 11, 2010 Super User Posted March 11, 2010 Is this line mono or a blend of flou.? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 11, 2010 Super User Posted March 11, 2010 Hybrid and Hybrid Ultra Soft are a bonded, not coated, nylon/ fluorocarbon blend. The Ultra Soft formula (probably) has a higher percentage of nylon than the original. http://www.yo-zuri.com/Products/Prodline/Hybrid.htm 8-) Quote
Super User eyedabassman Posted March 11, 2010 Super User Posted March 11, 2010 Thanks, RW. I will have to try both of them. Now that the Gamma will not be around anymore! I am looking for a good replacement and this could be it. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted March 12, 2010 Super User Posted March 12, 2010 Yep, seems like All city lakes except Laguna have the green tint to it. I use mostly the green, but have caught fish with the clear. Currently I use clear Yozuri in 8 and 10lb on my bc reels. When I need to get more I'm gonna be picking up the green.
