Viscious flourocarbon?

Any used this stuff.  I always use seagar or trilene flourocarbon, but it is so expensive.  I seen where the vicious is only like $12 or something.  Just wandering if i should just keep paying $20 a spool for line.

You get what you pay for in this case. In my experiences, Vicious has a lot of memory, poor strength, and casts poorly. Stick with Trilene.

I was hesitant at first after reading up on some bad reviews but a friend encouraged me to try it out and I was blown away, it seems the bad reviews are from a bad batch early on in production. The stuff on the shelves now is very limp and very manageable even in freezing weather. I have 6# on a cumara/ci4 setup and feel like it outperforms alot of other flouros out there that are twice the price.

Give it a try for yourself, im sure you'll be pleasantly surprised as I was

You won't know unless you try it I tried it and I am very happy with it. The only thing that I have found that might turn people away is that the diameter of the line is bigger than usual. If you are going for a line for flipping and pitching then I would go with either 15 or 17lb test. I wouldn't use this line on spinning reels because it is a little stiff.

I'm in the same boat as Thai. I was scared away but then I was told it was worth a shot. I've only tried the 6# so I can't speak for the heavier stuff. The 6# seems great so far. Unbelievably limp for such a cheap FC

I've only used the 6 and 8# as a leader in conjunction w/ braided line.  No complaints, and I've noticed no issues (break offs, knot strength) relative to other FC's.

I use 10lb Viscious floro on three of my baitcasters for worm and crankbait fishing and found it to be durable and easy to use and this is in the tough environment of the Tidal Potomac.

I've used the 6# for light tackle and 10# as leader.  Casts very well, no noticable line twist.  Haven't used it long enough to say yea or nea on durability.

I used the 15lb when Wal-Mart started carrying it a few years ago.  It didn't seem very strong for 15lb line and was extremely stiff with poor manageability.

I've never tried the Vicious, but I've tried a few others.  The one I've found that I really like is Triple Fish.  Works just fine for me, being treated with KVD Line and Lure.  And it's relatively inexpensive compared to some others.  I haven't found a reason to give it up, except to continue to experiment with some other brands.

well i felt the 12 and 15 today at walmart, I wouldnt touch it with a 10ft pole, it's too stiff for my liking and a little thicker than other lines of same test strength. But if your gonna use light line for dropshot or such I still would rec the 6#, it doesnt share the same stiffness as it's thicker counterpart
