The SX & STX come in 6.4:1 or 7.1:1. The Premier is a 6.4:1. The STX and Premier use the Infini Spool free spool design and a coated pawl and pinon shaft. The Premier has alloy gears as opposed to brass making it the lightest of the three.

Those are some cool reels. I am seriously thinking about snagging one. I am drawn to the Premier. I know it is expensive, but it is light as a feather, and I love the EVA Grips. The weight is a big thing to me. I want something that I can fish ALL DAY and never get fatigued. I am still trying to wait and make the right choice, I want "the one". My wife told me to get one I love that wont leave me wanting. The premier has it all.

IMHO, you will not be dissapointed in the Premier.  I purchased on in December and liked it so much, I set out again to find another and found one about a week ago.  The Premier is at the top for it's class of aluminum framed reels.  From the cast to the retrieve, it is buttery smooooooth.  I was able to cast a 1/4 rat-l trap with it a country mile and even landing in the chicken coop :D  It is an awesome reel with unlimited upgrade possibilities.
