What do yall think about these sticks? i am used to using mainly shimano cumara's and g.loomis imx rods.  if i buy a mojo would it be alot worst then those rods mentioned above? the reason i am asking is because i like the pricepoint on the mojo rods.

their aright.. tip heavy. you can get some good deals on them at dicks they should run a rod sale soon i got mine last year for 20bux off. i got the 7mf plastics. its ok. i do got a carrot stick im tryen to sell if you intrested send me a pm.

I really like the feel of mine. It is a little tip heavy though but I never fish more than 3-4 hours at a time anyways, so it doesn't bother me. Other than that I like it. I really doubt it's comparable to your Cumaras and IMXs though.

ya i held one and it felt a little heavy in general but i wasnt sure how it would compare on the water, but thanks for the help nick, if i get any more comments that say the same as yours ill look into another model rod.

im really not a fan of these sticks at the 7' lengths. when youre in the store, use your finger as a balancing point and see how far up you have to go to get the rod to balance. its quite a ways away from the reel seat.

ill try that skunk, ive never done that before.  one of the most important aspects in my mind is how many million modulus of graphite are in the rods.  thats the main reason i chose imx and cumara, they are both around 54,000,000.

The split grip on these sticks is too small for my liking, and I'm not a fan of how it sits in my hand.  I would look at some other options at the $100 price point.

also if you guys dont like the mojo, then could you please list a rod that you would recommend that is somewhere near the imx or cumara.  im just wanting to try other rods and if i cant find anything like them then ill just go get another cumara or imx lol

They are basically a St Croix Premier, and agree that they are forward heavy. I also agree that fishing 3 or 4 hours with one isn't gonna send your arm home in a sling.

PondHunter, he said they are tip heavy not heavy over all, but fwiw, there are lighter choices. I still like my Mojo though, it functions well and cosmetically it will look decent with just about any reel; except green for some reason.

im not sure how sold i am on rod specs. there is no indusrty standard so who knows for sure what youre buying.

when you go back to look at rods, take the reel youll be using with you, spooled, with a rubber weight. play around in the store. the BPS here cut the tags off the rod for me to play with, the store you go to might do the same.

i am a huge fan of Falcon Lowriders. i also bought the Wright & McGill SR rod, more as an impulse but i like how the rod feels with a Daiwa Sol mounted. im also a fan of the BPS Extreme rods. they might be a little heavier over all but after you get used to the grip they preform well.

I bought a mojo 7'M/F "tubes & grubs" spinning, haven't put in water yet, i like the feel and the $ 70.00 price.

all casting rods are 9 to 11 inches up when you do that.they are all tip heavy which is why i balance all my rods.the 7 foot MBC70MHF weighs 4.6 oz. , hardly what i'd call heavy.

For about $100 the Mojo might be as good as you can do. My tourney partner has a few and likes them. Like you (and I) he has more high end rods and doesn't hesitate the throw the Mojo.

Also, about the tip heavy part, I agree Mojos feel that way...but to me only on the 7 ft or longer models. The 6'8" MXF feels great. And remember, the reel will help balance it out.

If you're looking for a different rod around the Cumara price range, I'd suggest a Kistler Helium LTA. I have a 7' mh and love it. It's great for anything from senkos to football jigs. However, I also have a Cumara, and it's hard to beat them in terms of bang for your buck.

you must have lead in the tip of yours because i tried one at dicks sporting goods today and it was nowhere near 22" . i did not have a ruler but i know it wasn't close to that.i have no real love for st. croix rods.i use bps johnny morris signature series.tip haevy rods are annoying to me also.that is why all my rods are balanced to the center of the reel seats with butt weights.it makes the tip feel weightless.

I am looking to pick up a few rods during the Classic, and am having trouble deciding between the mojo and the BPS carbonlite. The carbonlite will be $20 cheaper, and I've heard many great things about it. Can someone who has tested both out comment on the sensitivity/overall quality of each?

i wrote in another post , you guys have got to check out the Okuma EVX rods , they have good components , life time warranty, sell for 90 bucks . light weight and strong , premium guides , fuji acs reel seat , split grips , IM-8 blank. here is a picture of it
