I've owned em all, but it would have to be Shimano without a doubt... But I hear once you own a Steez, it shifts your train of thought a little bit.

I didn't say that !

I use Quantum, Abu Garcia, and Pflueger.  My heavy catfish rig has a Penn 209 reel. I like them all. I've had some other brands in the past, but I'll stick with these companies from now on.

Quantum is my favorite company with 3 of my 4 Baitcasters being Quantum. On the Spinning side I have 4 of my 6 setups with Quantum reels. I do own a Shimano Sahara and BPS Viper with the Shimano getting its fair share of work and the BPS reel will be a trade in to BPS in a couple weeks

i thought i was the only one!!! :)

holler at another quantum lover.

I have to go Daiwa Zillion Baitcasters, Shimano Stradic spinning, and a healthy dose of Crucial rods all the way around. I have 3 Revo SKT's that are nice but i still like the zillions. I also have a few BPS PQ's(good for the price if you don't fish every day) for guests in the boat that don't bring their own.

I fish Quantum, Shimano, BPS and An old Browning crankin reel, but I find myself gravitating towards the Quantum, those are all baitcasters, for spinning reel i use strictly Quantum Catalyst and Kinetic.

I am actually in the market for a new reel, which I am thinking will be a Quantum, the BPS was looking good, but the more I read the more I learned that no one will service them or has parts for them.

Abu Garcia. Always go back to my old Ambassadeur 5000s made in Sweden, 1984-1989. Upgraded bushings to bearings, easy to disassemble, clean, and maintain. Slow crank at 4.7-1.

Tried a new 5600BCX, made in China, gave it away.

Right now I am torn between Abu and Shimano. I have three reels of each. For a tie breaker I have Mitchell 308 ;D.

Certainly, Mitchell was just about everyones favorite spinning reel company when I started fishing. The made-in-France 300 and 400 series reels were just great reels. I still fish mine on a matching Garcia Conolon rod ::)
