scrutch Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 my local walmart just put the Revo S on clearance for 74.99. I'm not a revo guy (yet), should I go buy 10 of them? Quote
-nick- Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Might as well get at least one to see how you like them! And when you go to get that one, take the rest of them and hide them in various spots in the store just in case you do like it. ;D Quote

I did go in yesterday though and it looked like they were getting everything organized and situated maybe they'll get some new products?! Quote

Yep, if it's like mine it will be towels, quilts, and diapers. Quote
shootermcbob Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 One would think that as much uniformity as walmart likes, they would be more consistent in their mark-down policies. They spend millions remodeling so all stores have the same layout but in my area, 3 stores all within about 20 miles of each other have radically different markdown procedures. Quote

Several of the WMs in my area are remodeling, or have been remodeled, and are now very slowly restocking their fishing sections. From the looks of it, they're all going to be stocking the same things now. :-[ Quote

Okiefalcon Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Hey guys. Just checked my walmart. They had a revo sx on sale for $109. All they had left though was the sample out of the box. Told them I would go ahead and take it if I could get a discount but they rung it up and it showed 74.99!!!!!!!!! Never used a revo but you can't beat that price!! Quote
bowfish12 Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Checked one of mine the other day, they don't even have the higher end reels in a display case anymore. Quote
MN Bass Man Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Both Walmarts in Rochester have recently remodeled, effectively reducing the overall sporting goods section by more than half, in order to expand their electronics selection. I'm sure it's a companywide decision, and if yours hasn't been remodeled yet, it will be. I'm not too bothered by it, I'd rather go to Fleet Farm anyway. Probably the best prices in town, better than Dicks or Gander Mountain anyway. And Cabela's is over an hour away so I keep those trips for things I can't get in town. Quote

BPS , GM, & Cabelas are all more than 1 hr away. Maybe I'll be shopping more online in the future. Quote
Indiana Bass1 Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 I live near Lafayette In. and all of our Wal Marts pretty much got out of the fishing business. They have a section about ten feet long with some crap in it. I do not even bother looking any more. The only reels they carry are the junk ones in the plastic clam shells. They refer to fishing as seasonal now. Wal Mart is a dive anyway, I just drive on by now. I called over twenty stores the other day checking for the revo clearance deals.Only one of the sporting good employees had ever heard of a revo, and that was a lady at the brownsburg store and she was up on her stuff. Most of the rest had to write the name down before going to look. LOL..................... Quote
