SPAZ Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Which company makes the best spinnerbaits? Quality is very important and especially ones that flat out catch fish! Quote
HPBB Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 wow, this is going to open a big can of worms. I have days were a .99cent bargin bin spinner bait will outfish anything and otherday where a big $$ bait works better. My favorate spinnerbait are War Eagles. I am not a big spinnerbait guy, but I seem to catch fish on war eagles more offten than others. Just my .02cents Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 9, 2008 Super User Posted January 9, 2008 I like the original Terminator T-1 (titanium-framed): http://www.terminatorlures.com/06site/t1_open.html Quote
Bud Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I build my own. I can make them anyway I want. Quote
flippincrazy Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 terminator x2 all that is important is that they spin well and when you bounce off cover or jerk them the blades clank together good. but there is a lot of info out there read and decide what sounds good to you u can never have too many ;D Quote
Jake. Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I don't throw a spinnerbait much, but when I do it's a Strike King Premier Plus. Quote
Buckeye1955 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 War Eagles. Try them and you'll throw everything else in a box in the closet. I especially like the Screaming Eagles. Quote
TournyFish001 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I really like the R2S glimmer shad spinnerbaits- beautiful and better yet they catch fish- Quote
BassFishingMachine Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I currently use Booyah Spinnerbaits and they work pretty well for me but they do bend after a decent fish, you just bend em back into shape and there good to go again. Although I haven't tryed Terminator Spinnerbaits yet and Ive heard tons of good things about them, so Im probably going to buy one of them next time I see them. But yeah, for the mean time I use Booyahs. Quote
WCCT Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 They are beautiful baits. I also throw War Eagles a lot. Great baits. I really like the R2S glimmer shad spinnerbaits- beautiful and better yet they catch fish- Quote
Other. Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Strike King Premium Plus. It is a very good spinnerbait IMO. Right now www.basspro.com has them on sale for $2.50 they are originally $6.10 I think. These spinner0baits are really great. Also you can never go wrong with Booyah. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted January 10, 2008 Super User Posted January 10, 2008 I use the D&M Customs. Absolutely awesome spinnerbaits. Their "Spotted Bass Special" is an amazing clear water bait. (The blades are silver, even though they look gold) All of their other spinnerbaits are pretty sweet too! Quote
TournyFish001 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 heres a pic of one of my R2S this is a 5/8oz Chartruse Shad Quote

Super User Catt Posted January 10, 2008 Super User Posted January 10, 2008 Stanley Wedge Plus is all about the blade. Tapered from tip to end these blades transfer energy to the end of the blade causing one heck of a thump. It's all about vibration and water displacement; you can feel every turn of these blades as the track through the water calling up those big one. Quote
EastTexasBassin Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I like the old H&H originals. The old classic still produces some nice fish. Quote
MN Basser Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Terminator T-1's 100% I use the 1/2oz and 3/8oz and they work like champs. My two favorite colors are Hot Tip and Blue Shad. Quote
JigNBig Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I use all brands as long as they are War Eagle. Quote
basser89 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Picasso, XCiter and Strike King (in that order) are the ones I use the most. I do have a couple War Eagles and Bass Pro Shops Lazer Eye series that work well. Personally, I'm not a fan of the titanium models. For me, they have a tendancy to fowl up on the cast where the blades get caught up around the hook. I experienced this on several different brands so I stopped throwing them. Quote
Hooked_On_Bass Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I don't throw a spinnerbait much, but when I do it's a Strike King Premier Plus. I just picked up 3 Strike King Premier Plus Spinnerbaits a few days ago at BPS. I cant wait to bust em' out this year (they are my prettiest spinnerbaits by far ) . Quote
flippin Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 i make my own but if i buy one its a picasso Quote

Super User RoLo Posted January 10, 2008 Super User Posted January 10, 2008 Instead of buying from the "top-down", I select all fishing tackle from the "bottom-up", by preparing a list of desired features. Instead of brand loyalty, this puts the onus on the manufacturers. Provided you know exactly what you want, the winning brand is totally immaterial (it's a self-fulfilling prophecy). Very rarely will you find a manufacturer that will satisfy all your requirements, so I normally wind up settling for the brand that provides the most attributes. Depending on the use intended, the feature list for a largemouth bass spinnerbait might look something like this: <> Single-Spin <> 3/8 ounce <> Gold #5 Colorado <> Black Silicone Skirt <> Premium Heavy-Wire Hook <> Long Arm <> Ball Bearing Swivel (no barrel-swivel) <> R-Bend Eyelet (no looped-eye) <> Bullet-Nosed Head Roger Quote
George Welcome Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Innovative - give it a shot! KaRu Lures is proud to unveil their newest lure "The VibraSpin". Developing a new bass fishing lure resembling the spinner bait was the goal for Karl Franzen, V.P. and Director of Research & Development. KaRu Lures has taken the spinner bait, that has been utilized throughout the last century (without much change to the action), and brought it into the New Millenium. "We took a lure that bass fishing enthusiasts have been using for decades and bumped it up to the next level of performance" says Franzen. Taking two of the most important factors in attracting fish, VIBRATION and FLASH, the new VibraSpin encompasses both of these key elements. http://www.karulures.com/ Quote
