Big Al23 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 If you caught a Tackle Warehouse sale, you could have gotten a CI4 for $160. You had to be very quick! Quote

In any event, Shimanos are fine reels - I own several and they were good values at the time that I bought them. Quote

vatech Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Be patient and shop around:http://cgi.ebay.com/Shimano-Stradic-CI4-2500F-Spinning-Fishing-Reel_W0QQitemZ230425233949QQcategoryZ36147QQcmdZViewItem#ht_1321wt_1165 8-) Hmm, nice find. On the flip side of the equation though, I've seen people paying premiums (as high as $230) just to get the reel because the availability is so low. Additionally, the reel does not come with a spare spool (which costs another $60). That being said, I have one of these in a 2500 and it was significantly prettier than I expected from online photos. I have yet to try it out thanks to this wonderful winter weather but hopefully I will agree with your assessment of performance per price value! Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted February 7, 2010 Super User Posted February 7, 2010 I'll get the Abu Garcia thread going here shortly. Quote
