hmongkidBee Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 here man try this website: http://jdntackle.home.mindspring.com/index%20page.html that website should be all you need. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted February 3, 2010 Super User Posted February 3, 2010 i think true "supertuning" is a thing of the past. a proper clean/lube will change how 90% of all baitcasters work........and for the better. Quote
TimJ Posted February 3, 2010 Author Posted February 3, 2010 its not so much supertuning but maybe updating is the right word. I have 4-4600CBs that I want to replace bearings, maybe add bearings instead of bushings (if possible) and replace the drag washers. I have had someone cleaning my stuff but I'm going to learn to do it myself. my other reels are bps j.morris, older shimano and bps qualifiers. hmong-that was the first site I checked out on google...lol. delaware-thanks. I'll be in touch. TJ Quote
OnthePotomac Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 This is what you need on how to supertune a reel. http://jdntackle.home.mindspring.com/index%20page.html My caution is that you be very careful in using any sand paper on a surface, internal or external. You can change the tolerances from the manufacturer very easily. Some super tuners use a jewelers rouge to buff a high gloss surface on parts with a Dremel. Quote
SWMIBASSER Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Each reel can have a few unique areas that need or can use attention. In all honesty, there are many reels that just don't need it. Others see a nice improvement. Quote
