brushhoggin Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 i've always thought these were too sexy. and for spinning, the Certate 2500. as far as rods, yeah those megabass rods are sick. or i could hire all my favorite pros to join together and custom make me something real special Quote
trevor Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 Spinning Reel - Stella or Steeze Rod - Falcon Ti Inshore Casting Reel - Diawa Coastal Zillion, Pluton, or Steeze Rod - Falcon Ti Inshore or the best St. Croix, or a Lott Bros. So many! Quote
A-Rob Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 I cannot complain about Shimano one bit with their "lower" end products, they are amazing. So I would go with a Shimano Stradic or whatever their top spinning reel is. And a Shimano Calais. Rods, maybe like Fenwick, Loomis for spinning rods. Kissler flippin'/casting stick. I currently use a Shimano Cruxis and Sahara and LOVE them. I was gonna splurge on a citica, but the rick clunn reel was on clearance and was more than 1/2 the price on the citica, I couldn't justify it haha, there mustve be something wrong with me. Quote
A-Rob Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 oh ya St. Croix rods are awesome and expensive, I want one of those to! haha Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 3, 2010 Super User Posted February 3, 2010 Enough gear to get 20 kids into fishing. I like this guy better every day. I'm more than happy with what I already own, most expensive reel was only $210.00, Avet mxj. Quote

rezbass Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 I would still build my own rods and keep using team daiwa reels. I would however, like to start a hunting/ fishing club for the youth in my local area where they are given the chance to experience the outdoors in a positive manner. Quote
