which would be a better frog to get? im sure they each have their different applications, but which do you think would be a better one?

river2sea bully wa

or

river2sea crawlin' croaker?

thanks guys!

Depends on where you're going to throw it.  If you're fishing muck, the lipless frog would be my choice.  If fishing more open water, I'd consider the lipped frog.

Yeah Micropterus hit the nail on the head. If your throwing it in Heavy muck choose the lipless, choose the lipped for more open water type areas.

Man if only they had that V-Joint lure in a larger size, looks like it would make an amazing striper plug for throwing off the surf.

they have em in 6 5/16" size. http://www.***.com/descpageSWIMRIVER-R2SVM.html only difference is this one dives, its not a wake bait like the smaller ones.  ;D

but i was thinking the same thign about the lipless/lipped. cuz i was thinking if i was fishing over mats of crap them the lip would just cause resitance and take away from the action. and i dont think that i would throw the frog in open water much. maybe i'll go with lipless.

I remember a while back you posted pics of some of the areas you fish. Personally I would give the lipped one a shot. From what I remember the pads were not too thick so I doubt you will have any issues.

pads i fish are pretty thick:

i dont know. it all depends on how much money i can get out of my sister (she's paying, im taking her biology course). hopefully i can get her to give me $50 so she doesnt have to pay for shipping too  ;D

Ya in the top pic the lipped one will get through. In the bottom pic I wouldnt fish the pads with a frog, I think flipping is a better choice.  ;)

From the two pictures you posted, I would definitely go with the lipless frog.

BTW, I've never bothered trying to fish a fog in open water. I rather use a Super Fluke or a Horny Toad instead.

Lipless dragged over the pads and grass and along the grass and pad lines.

You should do good.

If you do not do good your dad will do good.

And you want to do good.

Are you good with this? ;D

Hey i have the 65 in white with brown spots and no matter how many times i tried i could not catch a fish with one, on the other hand try a snagproof.

i agree fishindude.

i dont even frog fish much, infact, i cant catch a fish on a frog to save my life....they always miss it and on the rare occasion they do bite i cant get hooked up because of the crappy hooks on the snagproof frog. but i took out the crappy double hook and added a single 4/0 gammy so im excited to see how it'll improve my hook-ups.

plus, my sister isnt giving me as much money as i had hoped, so im not even gonna get a frog :;) ;D

Haha you're sister gets you stuff, only my oldest sister ever get me stuff ( I have two ) the other one is the cheapest in our family .

I would much rather fish a plastic frog anyways....

But if your going to get one get a more compact frog and you will catch all sizes of fish. like a SPRO Bronzeye Jr.

You can even flip those holes w/ a plastic frog if you have enough patience and let it sink in.
