tracker01 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 I am looking really hard at a St. Croix LTB. What ever happened to black, gray, or other subdued color's? Has this been their standard colors? Does anyone know if this will change in the near future? Nice rod, nice split grip, but wrong color. I know it's just a head game but I just can not get into it. midnighthrasher Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 The nicest colored and styled rods are the cumaras. They are stealthy. None of that bling or fancy stuff just a beautiful graphite. The crucials are also very nice in the sun. Quote

The Steez Fle-X-Lite series are beautiful rods for a non-custom. Quote

RobE Posted January 23, 2010 Posted January 23, 2010 I'm looking at the Croix LTBS68MXF for shallow river smallie fishing. Light stuff. It sounds to me that you might be a candidate for a custom! Step into my office. 8-) Seriously though, for the price of that rod, you would be surprised at what a rod-builder can set you up with for the same dough. You can choose any component in any color and dictate the color of thread wraps on the guides. Make it a spiral wrap, even!! Quote
