X 2  I do 6 loops on the braid, and 8 on the mono.

uni-uni splice is what i use, sometimes if you dont wrap the braid enough it might give but if you're getting anywhere near the backing when casting it's time to spool up again

First of all, it doesn't matter!

I misread the post. You should never get down

to backing.

More generally:

For lines of equal diameter: Blood Knot

Braid to fluoro: Alberto's Knot

All single hooks: Palomar Knot

Big treble hooks: Sixteen-Twenty Knot
