Infidel. Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Cultiva (owner) used to make a flat sided crankbait that had pretty large eyes. Does anyone remember this bait? Does anyone remember what it is called or have a picture of it? Thanks! Quote
Super User T-rig Posted January 16, 2008 Super User Posted January 16, 2008 As far as I know this is the only crankbait from cultiva: http://www.hotlures.biz/bugeyebait.html Quote
Infidel. Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 Thanks T-rig but it's not that one. I bought it about five years ago and I think it was already our of production at that time. I saw one in an ebay store about a year ago but I didn't like the color. I went back a month later to buy it anyways and it was gone. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted January 16, 2008 Super User Posted January 16, 2008 Do you remember the exact name of tha bait? Quote
Infidel. Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 Found it homeboy! Its called a Cranking Shad. Quote
Infidel. Posted January 16, 2008 Author Posted January 16, 2008 I just bought this one on ebay but if you are able to find another source for them I would apreciate it. Quote
TournyFish001 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 thats a good looking bait good luck with it. I will keep my eye out if I see any for you Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 Imakatsu makes a Cranking Shad that looks pretty similar to that. Check Ebay out and have a look... $18 apiece though... Quote
Guest avid Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I tried several cultiva baits becuase I like owner hooks so much. I was disappointed in them. They look good but I don't think I ever caught one bass on any. Quote

Super User T-rig Posted January 17, 2008 Super User Posted January 17, 2008 Yo-Zuri also makes a Crankin Shad. http://www.megapeche.com/e_commerce/fiche.cfm?produit_id=2895&cat_id=197 Quote

Easier to walk, better hooks (there's nothing better than owner hooks...), cooler colors/finish, and a better crafted bait. When the topwater bite is on, I throw the TD before anything else. Quote
Super User T-rig Posted January 17, 2008 Super User Posted January 17, 2008 Which size tango dancer do you use? 115 or 95? Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I use the 115, I can never find the 95s on Ebay, or if I do, it's too late. It is a big heavy lure and casts a mile. Quote
