Fat-G Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I can get one of the orange ones for about $40. Is it worth the money? Quote
Fat-G Posted December 24, 2009 Author Posted December 24, 2009 BTW if I get one, I'm gonna put it on a Berkley Shock with orange braid ;D Good Senko rig Quote
Super User Dan: Posted December 24, 2009 Super User Posted December 24, 2009 the orange ones are made exclusively for Dick's Sporting Goods. From what I've heard, they aren't as good as the silver Capricorns. I've heard of some longevity issues but I always thought they felt like decent reels in the store. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted December 24, 2009 Super User Posted December 24, 2009 Not sure about the orange ones myself, but I've had a silver series Capricorn (2500) for several years that has performed flawlessly for me. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I came across a good deal. -T9 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 24, 2009 Super User Posted December 24, 2009 Spinner or BC? I have three spinners that have been through the ringer, and they all work great. Quote

Indiana Bass1 Posted December 24, 2009 Posted December 24, 2009 I have two of the silver capricorns. They are ok reels, I started having problems with the thumb bar engaging and making a grinding sound this last year. They are on some back up rods that hardly ever get used now. After using the smaller reels(revos) the last couple of years the capricorns feel huge in your hand. Quote
