fish-fighting-illini Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Today's ad has a Curado for $179 plus you get any Gander Mtn rod for 50% off Man that sounds cheap for a Curado(?) Doesn't it list for $249 or $279 and doesn't Shimano basically say no discounted sales? Either way it seems like a good deal. Quote
fathom Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 curado 200's msrp is around $179.00. curado 300's msrp is around $249.00. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted December 13, 2009 Super User Posted December 13, 2009 I can't stand Gander and wouldn't step a foot inside the store if they were giving them away with free hot dogs. Quote

Fat-G Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 My Dick's has them for $120, and if I had $240 extra bucks I'd come home two Curados richer. Quote
The Rooster Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 If Shimano says no discounted sales then how is my Walmart getting away with selling the Citica E for $90?? :-? Quote
-nick- Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 If Shimano says no discounted sales then how is my Walmart getting away with selling the Citica E for $90?? :-? They don't know? We need to switch walmarts if yours sells Citicas! And for 90 dollars at that! Quote
bigtimfish Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I just found a website that has Curado 200 e7 for $149, Cardiff 100a for $88. I don't use Shimano or know about the normal pricing, but those seem like ok prices to me. Quote

OnthePotomac Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 You can pick up a Curado 200E7 for $155 on this site. http://fishingreelworld.com/shimano.html Quote

I would believe that when I saw it.... my mistake I should check the facts before I post; the old memory isn't what it used to be lol. Wayne this time last year I think I picked up a 200D for around $130 at Dick's. That would have been for the model closeout(?) so maybe a different story. I'd have to check my receipt to know for sure. I checked the BPS website and it has most Curado E's @ $179 and the 300's for $249 Quote
seyone Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 One of the biggest ways that stores discount products is to offer them as combos at a discounted price. example.. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0065124124288a&navCount=1&podId=0065124&parentId=cat601359&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat21404-cat21406-cat601359_TGP&catalogCode=9IS&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601359&hasJS=true Quote
fishermantony Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I think that is going to be the next reel I buy. Went to Cabela's on Saturday and even the 2 display models were sold! Quote
