It is similar in construction to the Fireline Braid but does not have the stiffness. It is the best performing superline I have tried (I've tried just about all of them including PP) It has a smaller diameter than other superlines of the same pound test. I use the 30# on spinning gear and would recommend you get at least the 40# to have some diameter for baitcasting use.

Even though it cost about 1/3 more than other superlines, the inital cost should not be a deterrent for it or any other superline because it lasts many times longer than any monofilament.

The green color is difficult to see at times so you may want to try one of the other two Dawai lines in the Saltiga model that are multi-colored.

The line is awesome.  The only complaint I have is the green fingertips after first use.

After doing some reading and research...I'm gonna go with the samuri in 40 for the bc, and 20 for my spinning...I'll be using fluro leaders to match the line dia. of the braid.  Thanks gents.. :D

It's great stuff, the 55 is the most versatile braid I've seen, and I use 80 on my punch setup and absolutely love it.

After further thought, I'm gonna use the 55 lb on the BC...thanks again.

excellent braid.i prefer the fireline braid because the stiffness makes less tip wrap.the samuri is softer and smoother and is also a great line.

The Samurai braid is amazing. Wayne P. sent me some to see how manageable it actually is and that is all the convincing I needed. It also doesn't turn your thumb as green as the Fireline Braid does. Looked like Mr Green Jeans after fishing with that stuff for a day.lol

Later, :D

this stuff is great... but I wouldnt recomend anything lower than #40 on a bait cast because the diameter is so small that I had a problem with it cutting down into the spool even when spooled halfway with #20 mono.  and when its stuck it's STUCK.  had to get the knife after it.  incredible castability though even on the heavier lines.
