Chaz Hickcox Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I'm looking for a line that is abbrasion resistant and will hold up. Mostly I fish Spiderwire, but I want to find something that is not braided to throw on one of my rods. I had the Berkley invisaline but it's crap. Has anyone tried the Stren 100% Flouro? Also, has anyone tried the Spiderwire 100% Flouro? Quote
Super User grimlin Posted December 6, 2009 Super User Posted December 6, 2009 P-Line CXX is about the best abrasive resistance line out there.Downside is it's not that great in manageability. The only fluorocarbon i liked was BPS XPS fluorocarbon... Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted December 7, 2009 Super User Posted December 7, 2009 I used the Stren 100% fluoro quite a bit this year and have nothing negative to say about it. For bass fishing, I used mostly 17# test on a baitcaster for jigging of various sorts. For crappie, I used the 6# on spinning. Cabela's has a sale on it right now and I have two new spools headed my way as we speak, FWIW. -T9 Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted December 8, 2009 Super User Posted December 8, 2009 Burley has went on record saying he thinks it's the same line as Trilene 100%. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted December 8, 2009 Super User Posted December 8, 2009 Having used both Stren and Trilene 100% fluoro, there is no doubt in my mind that they are the same. As for abrasion resistance, no line comes close to PLine CXX. Quote
