Fat-G Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Instead of those choices, I've heard the Vendetta's are right good. Quote
awcGA Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Although the rods you listed are all good quality rods; you might also check out the BPS Pro Qualifier rods, they are on sale. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted December 5, 2009 Super User Posted December 5, 2009 i am looking to buy a new rod for specific types of fishing. What techniques are you looking to address with this rod? Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted December 6, 2009 Super User Posted December 6, 2009 I'm gonna say that if your budget allows, the Powell Max series of rods are great for $140. The Pro Qualifiers are great rods for the $. I haven't used any of the other rods but have heard good things across the board. Also gonna add the Falcon Bucco Quote
strick9 Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I have two Mojo spinning rods, both are the Wacky model 6' 8" MXF. I use one for wacky rigs and shaky heads and the other for skipping tubes. They are great for all these applications, I love them!!! Sorry but I have no experience with the other rods you mentioned so I can't compare. Quote
SWMIBASSER Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I'm currently selling an excellent rod in the flea market area for not much more than your budget. If you have any Daiwa, Pflueger or Abu reels to trade we could work out a deal to get you well within budget. Quote
OIFBasser Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 6'6' Med XF Shimano Compre $100 spinning Powell Max 683c $139 Falcon Bucoo are great for $100-110 TW has free shipping on orders over $50, and there was a 20% off over Tday weekend. Also look for after holidays sales, and ebay. Quote
fmoore Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I have a few of the Mojo Bass rods and imo they are excellent rods for the money. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a rod in that price range. Quote

It is alot of rod for the $$ IMO. Quote
-nick- Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 I agree with the mojo I really like mine but if I had to get another rod it'll either be a vendetta or the BuCoo. Mainly because I just want to try others, but the mojo is a great rod for the money. Quote
reeetep Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 im thinking about upgrading all my rods to mojos Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted December 6, 2009 Super User Posted December 6, 2009 im thinking about upgrading all my rods to mojos id take a reel with you and mount it on the rod and store fish the rod before you buy it. i try to stay out of these threads because opinion will get posters rods they dont like. something as simple as using your finger for a balancing point will let you know how tip heavy the rod is. good luck, let us know what you end up with.
