Anybody tried one?  I have been in the market for a new rod recently and after spending some time at cabelas I decided that I want to go with a Lowrider.  The sales associate told me that they are carrying the split grip version of this rod online now, but they did not have it in the store.  How does this rod balance?  I used to fish with a Lowrider that I really liked, but I have never handled the split grip version of this rod.  Thanks for the input.

I scored a Lowrider XG at *** for $87.99. It's not the split grip Lowrider, but a rod like this for under $100 and free shipping is a sweet deal. *** is giving 20% off just about everything but it ends today. Make sure you click on the "Black Friday" banner to get the discount......

I guess I am somewhat concerned that that the extra weight out of the grip might make the rod more tip heavy.  Probably won't be an issue, but I wanted to check with you folks.  Thanks

I can almost guarantee that it will be more tip heavy than with the full length grip..

Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!
