Lamiglas Certified Pro Series Questions

I've spent an hour trying to find the information, searching, reviews, etc. but didn't find what I was looking for so I decided it was easier to just post the question.....

How are the Lamiglas Certified Pro Series rods?

Has anyone used the XC705 (7ft, MH, fast tip) for Texas rigs & jigs?

Warranty experiences?

If anyone has any feedback, I would appreciate it.

I am a big fan of the Lami Certified Pro series. I have one of their rods, but not that one. They are super sensitive.

However, if you visit their web page, they have a forum where you can ask them anything about any of their rods, and you will be answered by their staff.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone asked about this model already. You probably found this place already, but just in case...

I have a few certified pros and i prefer them over my g loomis. They're suuuper sensetive but a tad bit on the heavy side. Overall i dont see it as such an issue because my xc704 is 7' and has 13 guides  which is more than rost rods of that size. a little weight sacraficed for more even line distribution. I like it best for jigs, its a bit stiff for lighter texas rigged worms in my opinion but thats just my personal preference. I got to take a look at the new certefied pro prototypes at bassjam and they're really nice. They have different guides, split grips, waaaay lighter, and modified actions. They said they were still working out some of the problems to get a perfect action so im not sure when they hit the market

i've fished with numerous lamiglas rods but not the XC704 specifically. generally, i like the certified pro rods. they all seem to have slower tip than other manufacturers (which i like) but fish lighter than their rating (similar to g.loomis rods). they're kinda heavy by today's standards but sensitivity is not a problem.

warranty-wise, they answer emails very fast. however, they do NOT have an over-the-counter exchange program...all rods must be sent back to them and they will make a determination on your claim only after inspecting your rod.

I have a xc705 and I really like it. It is very sensitive, fairly light and very well balanced. They also stand behind their product. I have sent back numerous rods and have at most been charged 50$ for a replacement.

I went ahead and ordered the XC705 since the Lamiglas forum responded that the rod was the correct choice for texas rigs and jigs.

If you are interested, Cabelas has them on sale for $120 from $200 on their website. It seemed a too good of a deal to pass up but now I have to wait for spring to give it a try!
