MH xfast or M fast?

I recently picked up an Abu Garcia Vendetta 6'6" casting rod, in the MH xfast rating. After reading a thread about an all pupose bass rod being M fast, im considering exchanging it for a M fast action rod. I already have a Shimano Voltaeus in M Fast and like how it handles. Should I exchange the MH Vendetta for a M Fast? I like how the Vendetta handles and the sensitivity is amazing, would the M fast in that model be just as sensitive and work for most all techniques? I would really appreciate everyones input. Thanks.

I would stick with the MH. You'll be anle to do more with it, and it will serve you well. But stick with the MH rod.

Welcome to the world of bass rods.  

Personally, I would stick with what you have already.  You seem to really like it.  The sad news is if you bought the Med. Fast you would soon find that it was not really well suited to many applications either.

A good rule of thumb is that Med. power is good for treble hooked baits like poppers. and a MH is good for single hook baits like senko's.

If you get serious about bass fishing your gonna own a half dozen rods or more pretty quickly, so you may wanna get started on that letter to Santa.

my question is if you have a rod you love, why are you looking to switch to something different?  If you like it that much, and want another pole, why not just get the same one?

Keep it for plastics and spinnerbaits and the other one for crank baits. Why would you just want one type of rod ?

If you're bank fishing, I'd pass on both and pick up a MH/F or a slightly longer M/XF. Some MH/XF rods have a tendency to feel more like broom sticks than fishing rods, which can limit your casting distance.

If I'm fishing in an area with little or no cover, I prefer a M/F or M/XF for soft plastics.

Thanks for all the answers so far. I would actually like to get a MH/F it doesn't seem that Bass Pro carries the MH/F, the site only lists MH/XF. I dont think Abu Garcia makes a MH/F. So based on the answers so far it seems that I should keep what I have. If I decide to keep it, what other techniques could a MH/XF accommodate? T-rigs, C-rigs, senkos, swimbaits, jigs, spinnerbaits, worms/plastics, cranks, topwater, etc? Im just wanting an all around bass rod.

I have a BPS Prp Qualifier 7' M-XF that I really like. It is my favorite plastic and light jig rod. If I'm pitching to heavy cover I use a MH-F. If I had to use only one rod it would be the 7' M-XF.

there are 10 casting rods in the vendetta lineup and all BPS carries them all. yes, you should keep the rod...it will do everything you listed fairly well except for cranks. also, keep in mind that there is no ratings standard...one manufacturer's MH/XF can be another's M/F.
