zbigbadaaron Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Well I have a 6'3 medium xtra fast St. Croix Avid in spinning. What would be the uses for this rod from shore? Quote
Super User Tin Posted October 19, 2009 Super User Posted October 19, 2009 I would say skipping tubes, and wacky rigged baits under docks. But I'm sure it would be fine for a multipurpose light plastic rod from shore. Sounds like a great little drop-shot rod as well. Quote
FuzzyGrub Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 I use it for verticle jigging, some drop-shot, shakyhead, and dock skipping, but that is all from a boat. Some people like this size for wading/casting jigs to smallies, but I prefer longer rods for that. Quote
Bass_123 Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I agree with Tin. I have used that exact rod for skippin docks with tubes and wacky worms and it works great for that. It is a great rod, but what else do you expect from St. Croix. Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted October 20, 2009 Super User Posted October 20, 2009 Add topwaters and jerkbaits to the mix Quote
vanquish Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I would say that rod is worthless and you should sell it to me for a killer deal. Quote
