So I know that these two lines of rods are fairly new and there has been a huge hype for both. My question to everyone in this forum is, which one do you think is overall better with reasons behind it! This will be interesting to hear! Thanks!

I only have experience with two versions of the mojo bass rods. I love my 7' crankbait rod, wouldn't trade for anything in that price range, the 6' 6" jig and worm is ok. I would say the crankbait rod has enough sensitivity and plenty of backbone. the jig and worm is very sensitive, but I just don't use it very often, maybe thats why I don't care too much for it.

With the ABU you get SIC guides (which are suppose one of the best) I also feel that the ABU is a better bang of the buck. Just my .02 worth.

i have 7 or 8 rods sitting around i bought because "they" said the rod was a good stick. 2ManyCranks loves his Mojo rods, i however do not. Who is right? we both are. i did a re-review in the rod a few weeks back after not using it for a few months. it was still the same rod for the most part. tip heavy.

i would list the retail stores close to you and the rods they carry for reviews of those rods by ppl who use them. take you time picking a rod out. take your reel with you. store fish the rod.

let us know what you got, and welcome to the forum!

Thanks Skunked_Again for the welcome.

It's alot of personal preference to the St. Croix Mojo Bass Rods, I myself own 5 of them rigged with Curados mostly and a Citica. I do love my Mojo's but the more I fish them I find them I realize they are a little tip heavy.

I own the following from the St. Croix Mojo Bass line:

MBC70MF / Plastics

MBC70MHF / Spinnerbait

MBC70MHM / Crankbait

MBC70HF / Slop-N-Frog

MBS70MF / Tubes/Grubs

However, I have caught lots of bass on them and they do have a strong backbone for hooksets. I bought these rods from my buddy that owns a tackle store which didn't hurt me too much on the financial part. I was looking into selling them and getting higher end rods that balance with my Curados alot better. I had the Abu Garcia Vendetta's in mind but there aren't too much reviews for them, they are not available at the Canadian Bass Pro Shops to handle ether. From the member's experience here, what would you recommend at the Crucial price range?

I would not recommend the Crucials at all. Everytime I'm in BPS I see a broken one being returned. But I do love the Cumara's. The Fenwick Techna's are on sale dirt cheap, I would pick one of those up for $130 before anything else right now. But there was a guy selling Cumara's in the flea market section for around $160.
