I know in the past KVD used to use rods that weren't Quantum and he would have the Quantum label put on the rod though from what I was told he no longer needs to do that as he's really happy with the  currrent Quantum rods. I live app 1/2 hour from D & R sports which is owned by his brother Randy who slipped that in at a seminar when talking about Quantum rods.

When it comes to making rod choices I have discovered a fool proof way of finding out if the a rod is worth it or not. I have this secret little website I go to its called Bassresource.com. It has thousands of members who all own different types of rods and reels so your set for any rod you can find. The best part about it is that most off them aren't sponsored so their not going to bend the truth a little when giving you information.

Any ways it's just a suggestion  :)

But if its a cranking day KVD has his rods in his hands from what I can see.

As Flechero said, it may look like his store rods but it could be something much more custom made to look similar. We don't know for sure.

KVD has a spinning rod to match his new cranking rods but to my knowledge it's not available to the public

Yes I have noticed that also, specifically at the Smith Mt. Lake tournament when he was using a shakey head.  It's the same color as his cranking rods.

Never seen it in a store or online.

So how many Carrot Stix did you buy back when they were all the rage here?

i saw them a lot in the footage from earlier tournaments. Hell, I even saw one of his own signature rods in his rod holder.

rewatched the first 2 days on the lake, he was using the Light and Toughs and then the last 2 days on the river he was using Steezs.  Seems like L&Ts are his rod of choice for jigs.
