zbigbadaaron Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Well I am going to the factory at Park Falls sometime within a few months I have a choice between any of the rods. The rod I will be buying is a factory-reject so it will be at over half the price off! So what would you choose off of the upper end section? Quote
rubba bubba Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Depends on what you want to use it for. Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted September 29, 2009 Super User Posted September 29, 2009 i'd get the best you can afford. Quote
NewAngler Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 I had a 6'6" premeire med/fast that was a pretty good "all around" rod, IMO Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted September 29, 2009 Super User Posted September 29, 2009 Just curious....what's the nature of the reject ? cosmetic ? flaw in the cork ? Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted September 29, 2009 Super User Posted September 29, 2009 Avid, Legend Tournament, or Legend Elite. Premiers are OK, but when the rods are offered at a discount go higher end, you won't be sorry. Quote
Infidel. Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 The St. Croix that I use for most soft plastics is the 7' Medium Casting Legend Elite. If you like a shorter rod go with the 6'8". Quote
uicdent11 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 7' Medium Elite or 6'8 M XF Elite. If you don't like the ACS reel seats or want a split grip then I would look at the Legend Tournament in the same lengths/actions. Let me know what you find up there. I may need to take a trip sometime soon. You down Koopa? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 29, 2009 Super User Posted September 29, 2009 My rod for weightless soft plastics is the Legend Elite ES70MF. 8-) Quote
Super User flechero Posted September 29, 2009 Super User Posted September 29, 2009 The rod I will be buying is a factory-reject so it will be at over half the price off I'd be looking for a feel rod... and looking at the Legend Elites or Legend Extremes only since they will be over half off and I'd only buy something with an obvious cosmetic flaw, there by reducing your chances of getting something with a goof in the actual build. -HAWK- Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 You cant go wrong with an Avid or Legend Elite. If the prices are good pick up a St Croix MOJO crankbait rod. I know many will bash this rod. But I absolutely love this rod. Quote
cbfishalot Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Legend Extreme or Legend Elite 7'0 MF Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 29, 2009 Super User Posted September 29, 2009 Legend Elite. Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted September 30, 2009 Super User Posted September 30, 2009 i'd get the best you can afford. x2 !!! Quote
zbigbadaaron Posted September 30, 2009 Author Posted September 30, 2009 Just curious....what's the nature of the reject ? cosmetic ? flaw in the cork ? For the most part it is cosmetic. Or on some there may be a tiny scratch. Quote
