central.PA.bass Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I use Gamma or Trilene 100%.... Quote
Jake. Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Sunline FC Sniper Berkley Trilene 100% Quote
Big Tom Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 In the rare occasion that I buy fluorocarbon, I buy Trilene 100%. Quote
Use ONLY Stren Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Trilene or Stren 100% (They are the same thing, made in the same factory) or XPS Flouro for leader, I found its stronger and more abrasion resistant, but less manageable. Quote

Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted September 22, 2009 Super User Posted September 22, 2009 I'm not a fluorocarbon fan at all but have been interested in giving it another chance. I gave up on it after using Berkley Vanish, have a friend that swears by it but I just don't see it. I usually use a co-polymer which suits me just fine. I have been thinking about giving Sunline or Seaguar a try. Quote

The Rooster Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Seems the general masses use Trilene 100%. I've only tried one kind, Vanish Transitions. I like it, never had the problems I've heard others talk about. Might start to notice some though after I try a few other kinds. Quote
Rangerjoe Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Currently using 15 lb Triple Fish on a couple of bait casters and its working well. I have not used any other lb test. Quote
Super User islandbass Posted September 22, 2009 Super User Posted September 22, 2009 Seaguar Invizx Cabela's No Viz Cajun Flouro - Pleasantly surpised it performed superbly, but I can get the upper two for less. Quote

I like it, never had the problems I've heard others talk about. Might start to notice some though after I try a few other kinds. I used to really like Vanish until I tried other lines. My main complaint is that it handles so badly. I didn't even realize it until I switched to P-Line. Quote
Hook Set Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 BPS + KVD linc conditioner, zero problems on my baitasters Quote
swilly78 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I only use it for leaders, so its Vanish for me. Quote
xxroosterxx Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Seaguar invisx is the way to go imho. Quote
slider head Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I have tried all kinds. Wasted alot of money and thrown many in the trash. BPS floro works best for me. Quote
Primus Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I use BPS floro for my baitcasters, a little stiff but strong & dependable and like the price. I use either Gamma or Trilene 100% on spinning reels, I found these lines to be more manageable than BPS which is important when using a spinning reel. Quote
flipinstick88 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Seaguar Red Label or BPS XPS. Really, Red Label is just as good as the BPS and its cheaper! Quote
aceman387 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 i bought trilene 100 % in 6# test and couldn't believe how thick the line was . i only have spinning out fits and fish ultra clear water so i bought it because of the clarity ,i liked the sensitivity but because the water is so clear i am always paranoid with the fish being spooky and try to cast as far as i can ,the floourcarbon stiffness seemed to cut my casting distance down so i replaced it mccoys mean green. rubba bubba Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I only use it for leaders, so its Vanish for me. I used to use Vanish for my leaders but it wouldn't hold knot strength for squat. Quickly learned from others how crappy Vanish is. Once I switched the problems went away. Quote
