BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 29, 2006 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 29, 2006 Do a search for the Kicktail. You'll find your answer there. Quote
Valascus Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 "I have a question about the Kicktail lure Do a search on the name. There's plenty of posts about it, which will answer your question. " That is actually a physical part of the FAQ. This lure has been discussed at great great length. It is a HUGE ripoff cut from the same ripoffs such as the Helicopter Lure and many many other TV only lures. Those lures are designed to do one thing...catch fisherman...not fish. I have never purchased a "TV offer only" lure just for the fact of how expensive they are and how grossly ineffective MOSt of them are. Save your money on those and buy some nice proven LC lures instead. Not trying to bash you or your question or anything. No hard feelings. Quote
Super User Marty Posted December 29, 2006 Super User Posted December 29, 2006 I've never used either, but I'd suggest you spend your money more wisely. I'm sure they will catch fish, but no better, and maybe not as well, as conventional lures. As to the light, let's not underestimate wild creatures' ability to see at night. Billions of preyfish without blinking lights have met their demise to predators under the cover of darkness. Finally, in my humble opinion, that company engages in deceptive advertising and claims and I would never consider doing business with them. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 29, 2006 Super User Posted December 29, 2006 I keep a three piece set of Kick-Tail in my tacklebox to remind me to NEVER buy a trick lure again. Quote
docav Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 i know most the stuff off tv is junk. having said that i have a buddy who 90% of the time would out fish all of us with the banjo minnow. he is and i hate to say a "god with the banjo". it got to a point where i was about to toss him and his one plano box full of banjo minnow in the water more than once. i could fish it for a year and never catch a thing but it is the only baits he buys. he doesnt own any other baits at all. he says " if they dont bite the banjo they dont bite at all". i alos know a guy who trolls the kick fish for stripers on cumberland and does very good with it. i think the two of them are the 1 out of 100 that it works for. doug Quote
Guest Texas_Bass_Pro Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 The kicktail minnow is a ripoff. Take it from me. I bought one and it might of lasted 10 minutes before it broke and they would not replace it. > Quote
