Hey guys. After reading several posts about how good this line was I decided to try it out myself. All in all the line is great. The only problem I have with it is it spooled on my reel sort of loose I guess, whenever I hang up the line will dig into the line on the spool really bad and I have to pull out a lot of line to remedy the problem. Any suggestions? I have only used it one trip. Do I just need to fish it some more? It is on a Abu Silver Max about 3/4 of the spool filled.

Make a cast as far as you can.  Then pull out several more arm lengths of line.  Reel it back on but apply pressure with your other hand to where it coils tightly on the spool.  That should take care of it.

The line is slipping on the spool, your anchor knot was not tightened properly.

If this helps it was 15 lb. tests. I know the line can't be slipping on the spool because I ran the line through the holes in the spool, then tied just for that reason. I will try casting as far as possible and pulling line out when I get back in town Big Tom. Thanks for the suggestions.

1st off, fill the spool to within 1/8" from the edge.  2nd, use tension when filling the spool.

I guess the smallie crowd likes this stuff, but it has no place for anything other than brownies, and catfish.

I have literally caught over a thousand largemouth bass on CXX.  Its not a "smallie specific" line.
