nateobot Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 what ever you buy? There are a series of steps you will need to go through. It is limited to "Buy It Now" transactions payed via paypal. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted August 26, 2009 Super User Posted August 26, 2009 Which means you could buy a Revo Premier from SimmonsSportingGoods' ebay store for like $110 once you send in the rebate! Quote

Can you list the specific steps? I see some more goodies I want to buy and 15% would be a lot. Does the 15% get subtracted off the selling price when you pay? Quote

golf n fish Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 Go to bing.com Click on the cash back link, and read the details. This is a Microsoft thing. I've done it many times and it works great. Lots of money saved. You get the rebate in your paypal account after paying. The refund comes almost instantly if you buy from a seller with lots of feedback. I haven't been dissapointed yet. Quote
steezy Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Hummmm...Its a good deal but it takes up to 2 months to get the money credited to your paypal account and you get tons of junk email from every spammer in the world. Whatever happened to the good ole days of just getting a discount. Quote

If it wasn't for them, you wouldn't be getting the discount. It's called Advertisements. As far back as i can remember there's always been a catch to getting a discount on anything. Quote

Whatever happened to the good ole days of just getting a discount. Sometimes it is instant cashback, sometimes you have to wait 2 months. I haven't gotten any extra spam from anyone since signing up. I have gotten quite a bit of money back from the cashback program, but most of that was when they first introduced it and were giving 35% back. I see that they also offer double cashback at some online retailers so it might pay to check them out as well. Quote
golf n fish Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 I have a yahoo spam filter that catches the spam. I've never had a problem with the rebates. I think the key is to buy from big sellers. I got both of my rebates to paypal instantly today. Quote
vatech Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Anyone know what dictates how much cashback it is when/what days? There are a few items I've been waiting for a right time to buy and I would hate to buy today and get 10% off and then tomorrow see I could have been offered 15% or 20 or however high it may go. Quote
steezy Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 I jumped in with both feet, figured I'd test it to get 10% back on a $300 purchase. Got a nice Steez rod for $270 Quote

There is no schedule, you have to monitor it. Over the past couple of weeks it was between 8-12% until today's 15% (now back down to 10%). Quote
golf n fish Posted August 26, 2009 Author Posted August 26, 2009 I miss those 35% days. I loaded up on some stuff, but should have bought more. It was 15% for about 2 days several weeks ago. It jumps around pretty randomly to keep us checking it out. Quote

Pantera61 Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 It is, but it's still at 10%. oh, I'm not getting the icon next to the item today Quote

Go to www.bing.com Enter buyitnow in the big box in the center of the screen. At the top of the results, click on buyitnow where it is next to www.ebay.com and it display Bing cashback. That will take you to the eBay website, by default it just displays a big list of buyitnow items but you can search for the item you are looking for by using the normal ebay search box. Any ebay item will the $ in the colored circle is eligible for the discount per the term of the program. Once you click on the buyitnow option just follow the directions and prompts. You will get a chance to create a cashback account during the process. If you already have a hotmail or windows live account you should be able to use it to login and create a cashback account. Hope this helps! Quote
Bigs Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 ya i figured it out and created an account and then linked my paypal to it so I hope it works right. I notice when I go on ebay homepage alot of times I see an icon next to items in the upper left corner that show discounts in red, is that what this is for or something different? Quote
Bigs Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 there was a used bass boat I like on there and when I went to ebay this morning it said 24 percent in red next to it, does that mean i could have gotten 24 percent back in cash if i had clicked buy it now for it ? Quote
