mrlitetackle Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 as for the best, i dont know??? what i do know is that before i made the switch to braid on all my outfits...... my line of choice was Ande for mono. its an "economy" line for sure, but after trying many mono's in the past...... i came across it, and i used it solely for 10 years..... and never wanted to switch...... that is until, i used suffix braid........ still learning Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Again with Suffix. Great castability, strength and low memory. Quote
mphenry Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Berkley sensation seems to work good for me Stren original and XL mono Never tried Suffix maybe I should Quote
Super User South FLA Posted August 18, 2009 Super User Posted August 18, 2009 You can't go wrong with the Trilene XL or XT depending on application, but I am now a huge fan of McCoy's Line, its the best mono IMO. As far as Big Game, it should be called Big Boing, great for impact leader/saltwater applications, but to stretchy for my taste! Quote
bassin is addicting Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 trilene xl and xt. no need for any other mono.. Quote
I.rar Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 6lb trilene xl on my spinning 10lb big game on my bait caster. both are pretty cheap and will stand up to big fish if it has been stored right. ive always wanted to give sufix elite a shot , but i decided to pick up a spool of p-line cxx instead.
