Steven Ladner Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Could you give us some more info? Your post doesn't make much sense. What's your price range, what do you plan on using it for, etc. Quote

Sounds like you need a new combo. I have gotten a few pflueger combo's and am more than happy with them. I haven't had any issues with them. I'm not sure what kind of fishing you are planning on doing, but if you are shooting for a starter bass rod, this would be a good route IMO. Quote

Steven Ladner Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 For that price, the only ones I can think of are the Daiwa strikeforce or megaforce. Quote
Kingbass43 Posted August 11, 2009 Author Posted August 11, 2009 And yes mainly bass fishing and i have a medium / heavy rod Quote
Captain Rhino Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 And yes mainly bass fishing and i have a medium / heavy rod I bought a pflueger trion last year and it is a very durable and versitile (not to mention inexpensive) reel. I highly recommend this for farm pond fishing. Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 If its a spinning reel you looking for try ebay and find one of last years Quantum Catalyst PTI-A reels in the size of your choice. I think I paid around $30 for mine off ebay. For B/C you can try to find the Quantum Accurist or Accurist PT on ebay as well and some pretty good deals on both reels and they should be less than $60 Quote
catchbig0bass Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I just picked up an Okuma Avenger 30 series spinning reel actually bought two of them and really like them alot. The Gentleman said for around the 40-50$ price range you can't beat them. Very smooth, nice drag and I have already caught tons of fish on it and it handled them really well. Try out Okuma they have a lot of models around that price range. Quote
