Stringjam Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I've used the following: Cordell Super Spot Rat-L-Trap XCalibur XR50 Rattlin' Rapala Lucky Craft LV500 Max and LV-O Jackall TN-70 Shimano Undulator and Baby Undulator Duel Aile Magnet Yo-Zuri Rattlin' Vibe and 3D Vibe Mamiya-OP Hunting Vib Jr. Ever Green Buzzer Beater Strike King Diamond Shad Air Viper Risebacker Spro Aruku Shad Shimano Scorpion Vib BPS Rattlin' Shad and prev. version Rattlin' Shad Smith Wiggy Team Daiwa Vibration Custom Lures Unlimited - Helix and Vortex If I could only use a handful from that list, it would be: Cotton Cordell Super Spot Air Viper Risebacker (soundless or sound-lo) Shimano Undulator Jackall TN-70 The Super Spot is one of the most versatile baits around - and it hangs with the best of them - - and it's cheap...bonus! ;D Some vibes are more specialized than others (like the LV-O, Smith Wiggy) so certain situations dictate which one I prefer at the time. Super User T-rig Posted December 30, 2007 Super User Posted December 30, 2007 Stringjam, if you like the Jackall TN-70 you're gonna love this bait: http://www.ichibantackle.com/showproductdetail.asp?productid=1652&name=TD%20PRO'S%20VIBRATION%20107%20S%20SILENT&manufacturename=DAIWA%20(TEAM%20DAIWA) Quote
Guest avid Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Ok dudes and dudettes. Here is avids famous totally unofficial bassresource.com lipless crank lure definitive poll of excellence. Remember, the lure company's are watching so choose the single one and only BEST one, in your humble experience. Quote
Guest avid Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Aint Texan, Sorry dude, I'm not quite sure how I managed to hijack your thread. I thought the topic was a great one and deserved a poll. Somehow it ended us as part of your thread. Sorry dude Quote
Super User T-rig Posted December 30, 2007 Super User Posted December 30, 2007 There is no such such thing as "the best lipless crank". Which bait I use, depends on the conditions. Clear water=silent lipless crank, deep water= heavy lipless crank, stained water= loud lipless crank......................... etc. etc. Quote
The Next KVD Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 I mainly use Rat-L-Traps but I've also had a lot of success on Strike King Diamond Shads. Quote
Brad_Coovert Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Anyone try LC's Lipless crankbait with a lip on it?(http://www.***.com/descpageHDLLUCKY-LCLV70.html) It supposably says it is less likely to pick up weeds because the lip makes it run shallower (which would be perfect for the lakes im fishing cause there so darn shallow). Anyone give these a try with any success? Do they really run shallower then a normal Lipless Crank? IMO, if you fish over submerged grass, this is a must have bait. You can fish these baits in super shallow water better than any other lipless bait made. Brad Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted January 4, 2008 Super User Posted January 4, 2008 Rat-L-trap Cordell Super Spots Strike King Diamond Shad Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 My best producer is the Diamond Shad. My favorites, because they are so darn good looking are Yo Zuri's Rattlin Vibe and Hardcore Drum. Quote
